German | In Rot eine aus dem Schildfuß wachsende silbern gekleidete Frauengestalt mit goldenen Haaren und verbundenen Augen, in der Rechten ein gesenktes silbernes Schwert und in der linken Hand eine silberne Waage haltend.
Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted in 1990. The arms show Lady Justice, derived from the old seal of the local council. In 1945 a seal for the town was introduced, showing a tower and a pine tree on a mountain. In 1977 the seal was made into a proper coat of arms with the same elements, see below.
