Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 20, 1981.
The right half shows a raven and a quartered field. These are taken from the arms of the Lords von Koppenstein, who ruled the area for many centuries. The left half shows a water-mill wheel for the former water-mills in the area, and a wavy bend for the -bach (stream, brook) part of the name.
