Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on March 13, 1984.
The owl is the symbol of wisdom and symbolises the most typical building in the village, the local school ond educational centre. The wavy bar symbolises the Scheppau river. The base shows a plough iron, symbol of the agricultural character of the village.
