Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 30, 1971.

The tower in the arms is taken from the old seal of the village. The arms are basically canting (Burg = tower/castle, Holz is wood). In the new arms of Friedrichsdorf the tower is added as the symbol for Burgholzhausen.

In 1956 some arms for Burgholzhausen were already proposed, a tower with a linden tree rising from the tower :
