HAINERSDORF
State : Steiermark
District : Hartberg-Fürstenfeld (until 2015 Fürstenfeld)
Incorporated into : 2015 Großwilfersdorf
Official blazon
In rotem mit goldenen Tabakblüten bestreuten Schild ein mit der Felge in die obere linke Schildhälfte ragendes goldenes Wagenrad.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 26, 1988.
The municipality uses the arms of a medieval noble family, the wheel cut in half. Eastern Styria has a warm, dry climate in summer; in Hainersdorf, many farmers grow tobacco (used for the production of cigarettes), which is why the field is strewn with tobacco blossoms.
