Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ?
The lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Sayn, to whom the area historically belonged. The house is the locally known Backhaus, the former village baking house. The lower half shows the Wied river and a water mill wheel for the formerly important water mills in the municipality.
