Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 27, 1994.

The upper half of the arms shows the wheel of the State of Mainz, to which the village belonged for many centuries. In the lower hals symbolise the wheat-ears the agriculture in the municipality. The oak leaf symbolises the local forestry college. The bricks symbolise the building industry in the municipality.
