Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1935.

The arms are first seen on the local seal dating from around 1800. The origin or meaning of the symbols is not known. The colours were determined in 1935.
In 1842 different arms, showing a key, are mentioned, but no images or seals with a key are known.
