ALEXANDRU CEL BUN
District/county (județ) : Neamț
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 30, 2019.
The ox-head contra-ermine chief marks the princely necropolis from the Bistrița Monastery with the tombs of Alexander the Good, Stephen II and Alexander Voievod, the son of Stephen the Great.
The oak and the five-pointed star are reminiscent of the vision of Saint Pious Joseph of the Churches who saw in an oak the Virgin Mary, who called this place "the Garden of the Mother of God".
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
