Spanish | Sobre un fondo de azur se pude ver la Cruz de los Ángeles engalanada con piedras preciosas, y siendo adoradas por dos ángeles en posición arrodillada. Todo ello rodeado por unos bordes plateados en los que se encuentra unas letras mayúsculas romanas que dicen: MUY NOBLE-MUY LEAL, en la parte izquierda, BENEMÉRITA, en la zona superior, INVICTA-HEROICA, en su lado derecho, para rematar con BUENA en su parte inferior. El conjunto de ambas cosas queda rematado con una corona real de oro y piedras preciosas. |

Origin/meaning
The symbol of the arms of Oviedo is the Victory Cross, or the Cross of Asturias. The cross is part of the Oviedo Cathedral treasure and is also used as the symbol for the region of Asturias.
