Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in July 2020.
The arms combine elements of the former arms; the bridge and colours from Aue, the fountain of Bad Schlema, and the wheel and tools are also taken from elements of the arms of Bad Schlema.
The arms were chosen in 2020 after a contest with 5 different proposals, all with similar elements in the composition, see below.
