Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on September 7, 2021.
The tower is the local fortified tower and a canting element (fort=fortress). The almond tree leaves illustrate the location of the village, on the edge of the immense Dieulet forest.
The spiked and broken wheel is the attribute of Saint Catherine to which the church is dedicated.
The two nails are a symbol of the products of a forge which operated at a place called Maucourt, in the middle of the 19th century. They also represent the other industries of the town: an oil mill, the mill and a tile factory.
