Origin/meaning

The falcon is taken from the arms of the Counts of Salburg, who founded the village. The red and silver also refer to the rule of Austria (1506-1765) and the Diocese of Passau (1765-1803).

The glass refers to the former glass manufacturing in the village. The three bricks refer to the Dreisesselberg mountain, a local landmark.
