Origin/meaning
The arms of Lippetal were granted on July 1, 1971.
The municipality was created in 1969 and the arms are canting; the Lippe river in a valley under a bridge (Lippetal means Lippe valley). The bridge is a symbol for the unification of the old municipalities (none of these used arms) on both sides of the river.
