Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1923 and are based on the seal of the town dating from the 17th century. The three stars are derived from the arms of the Counts of Erbach, the oak branches are a symbol for the Odenwald area (Wald=forest).
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
