Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 7, 2012.
The ladder is taken from the arms of the city of Brüssow, the seal of the Amt. The 8 steps refer to the originally 8 municipalities that formed the Amt in 1992, with the city of Brüssow as the main vertical part of the ladder. The carms show the Oder and Welse rivers and a catfish as a typical fish for these rivers. The five Yellow Water Lily (Nuphar lutea) flowers symbolise the five municipalities in 2012 (until 2021 Schöneberg was also part of the Amt).
To the Amt Oder-Welse belong:
- Berkholz-Meyenburg
- Mark Landin
- Passow
- Pinnow
