Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 22, 1982.
The division of the arms refers to the fact that historically the area was part of two estates, Miltach and Altrandsberg. In each half a small shield with the arms of one of the most important families which ruled the area was placed. The arms with the well are those of the Lords of Schönbrunn, who ruled in Miltach and the other shield shows the arms from the Leoprechting family, which ruled in Altrandsberg.
The wavy bar refers to the Regen and Perlbach rivers. The blue and silver are the colours of Bayern.
