Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 3, 1996.

The two crosiers refer to the local patron saint, Saint Martin of Tours and to Bernhard Stein, Archbishop of Trier, who was born in the village.

The lower half indicates the long inhabitation of the village, since prehistoric times.
