Origin/meaning

The Cross above the Mount symbolises the fact that the Parich Church is situated on a Hill. The Parish is also rich in Mountains and Hills. It can also allude to the Legend that the Parish gained its named from a Kättil that refused to convert to Christianity and entered his Burial Mound three years before his death. The Wavy Base alludes to the locating of the Parish between the Lakes Åsunden and Ämmern. Designed by Per Andersson and assumed 2 September 1996.
