OBERÄGERI

Canton : Zug

Wappen von Oberägeri/Arms (crest) of Oberägeri

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The ship is taken from the 18th century seal of the Ägeri valley, which showed two (sailing) ships and two persons (probably the patron saints). Obterägeri (and Unterägeri) became separate municipalities in 1789.

The ship of Oberägeri shows two sailors, which are the two local patron saints, St. Peter and St. Paul.
