SCHUPBACH
State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Limburg-Weilburg (until 1975 Oberlahnkreis)
Incorporated into : 1970 Beselich
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were proposed in 1956, but were never officially granted.
The arms are derived from the arms of the 13th and 14th century Lords von Schupbach. The colours were arbitrarily chosen, as no historical colours were known. The village never used its own seals.
Literature: Hessisches Wappenbuch, 1956
