Origin/meaning

The upper part show the local bridge and forests. The name may be derived from the bridge over the Moselle river. The lower right half shows a cogwheel and a sheet of paper, as a reference to the local paper mills. The lower left half shows a Temple of Mercurius, ruins of such a temple have been excavated in the municipality.
