Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on September 29, 2006.
The gate with the two towers refers to the two (former) castles in the municipality Estignols and Onès, and the gate was is also part of the arms of the Barons Spens d'Estignols. The chief shows the lion of the Acquitaine region and the wavy bar in base refers to the Adour river. The green base also refers to the green fields and fertile lands.
