Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on May 22, 2019.
The chef and the field of gules come from the arms of the Rochebaron family.
The gold and lion heads come from the arms of the Montlaur family.
The point evokes the name of “Laval” ('the valley') and the bridge refers to the Roman bridge “Bout du Monde” and the viaduct of Chapeauroux. The castle represents that of Condres (15th century).
