LAFAT

Département : Creuse

Blason de Lafat
Official blazon
French D'azur à deux cotices ondées et abaissées d'argent, accompagnées en chef d'une volute de crosse d'or; au franc quartier d'or chargé d'un hêtre au naturel.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on November 24, 2015.

The two bends refer to the Brézantine and Sedelle rivers in the municipality. The crosier is the symbol for St. Sulpice, the local patron saint. The beech is a canting symbol for the name of the municipality.
