NO 827 SQUADRON, FAA
History: First formed in 1940 at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton (HMS Heron), Somerset as a Torpedo-Spotter-Reconnaissnce Squadron. served in Norwegian Waters on HMS Furious 1941-1944. Disbanded 1946. After various duties finally reformed in 1954 at Royal Naval Air Station Ford with Westland Wyverns until disbanded in 1955.

Origin/meaning
Caduceus alludes to Mercury Messenger of the Gods symbolising the Reonnaissance Role. The Arabic Motto translates as "O conqueror, fight desperatley". The Badge was approved on 27 May 1944.
