NATIONAL ARMS OF PAKISTAN
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1954.
The arms show the four major crops in the country; cotton, tea, wheat and jute. Above the arms the holy symbols of Islam. The colours green and white are the colours of Islam.
The motto means "Faith, Unity, Discipline". The branches surrounding the arms are jasmine branches, jasmine being the National Flower of Pakistan.
