MANFRED GROTHE
Born : April 4, 1939
Deceased :
Auxiliary bishop of Paderborn, 2004-2015; Titular Bishop of Hippo Diarrhytus
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The first quarter shows the cross of the Archdiocese of Paderborn. The letters in the second quarter stand for Saint Mary. The third quarter shows the symbols of St. John Nepomuk, a popular saint in the Rietberg area, where the bishop previously worked. The silver fleur-de-lys is taken from the arms of the city Warburg, the city where he was born.
