HAUERZ
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Ravensburg (until 1973 Wangen)
Incorporated into : 1972 Bad Wurzach
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 29, 1970.
Hauerz did not use or have any seals or heraldic symbols until 1969, when the local council approached the State Archives with the proposal of the above arms. The arms show a well, which symbolises the historical spa which was established and maintained by the Counts of Waldburg-Wurzach from the 17th until the 19th century. The State Archives accepted the design and the arms were granted in 1970.
