NETTETAL

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Viersen (until 1974 Kempen-Krefeld)
Additions : 1970 Breyell, Hinsbeck, Kaldenkirchen, Leuth, Lobberich

Wappen von Nettetal/Arms (crest) of Nettetal
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 8, 1971.

The arms of the former municipalities could not be combined, so new arms were devised. The arms indicate the nature (water, waterlily) which surrounds the city. The five leaves symbolise the five former municipalities.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
