OBERNDORF

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Kelheim
Incorporated into : 1978 Bad Abbach

Wappen von Oberndorf (Bad Abbach)/Arms (crest) of Oberndorf (Bad Abbach)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1967 (?).

The arms refer to the history of the municipality. The cross and the key refer to the abbeys of Prüfening and St. Emmeram (in Regensburg). Both held large parts of the area in loan of the Dukes of Bayern since the 12th century. The colours therefore are those of Bayern.
