Origin/meaning
The arms were designed and proposed already in 1901 by the State Archives, but adopted by the municipality only in 1956.
The arms show a raven, taken from the old seal of the village (known since 1740). The raven is derived from the arms of the Lords of Helmstatt, who ruled the village in the 19th century.
