OESCHGEN

Canton : Aargau

Wappen von Oeschgen/Arms (crest) of Oeschgen

Official blazon

Geteilt von Schwarz mit zwei gelben Ringen und von Gelb mit schwarzem Ring.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on October 6, 1976.

The arms are derived from the arms of the Lords of Schönau, who acquired the estate of Oeschgen in 1475. On October 2, 1976 the municipality received formal permission to use the family arms from Freiherrn Wernher von Schönau-Wehr.
