HUTTWIL

Canton : Bern

Wappen von Huttwil/Arms (crest) of Huttwil
Official blazon
German In Blau zwei gekreuzte silberne Schlüssel, überhöht von einem goldenen Stern.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms are most likely based on the arms of the St. Peter abbey in the Black Forest, to which the village belonged. The keys are the symbol of St. Peter. The arms are known since 1500 and officially adopted in 1913.

Literature: Wappenbuch des Kantons Bern, 1981.
