State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Ortenaukreis (until 1973 Offenburg)
Incorporated into : 1975 Oberkirch

Wappen von Ödsbach/Arms (crest) of Ödsbach
Official blazon
German

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1907.

The oldest seal of the village dates from the first half of the 19th century and shows a combination of the arms of Baden and a fish. The meaning of the fish is not known, it can refer to the fishing in the local river. Later 19th century seals only showed the fish. In 1907 the fish was placed in a canting river (Bach).
