Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 17, 1995.
The upper part of the arms symbolises the many wind- and water-mills that used to exist in the municipality. The three stones stand for the three villages in the municipality, Schmieritz, Traun and Weltwitz.
The lower part symbolises the many wells and springs in the municipality.
