MILITARY REGION OF TOMAR, PORTUGUESE ARMY
History: Military Region of Tomar was deactivted in 1975. It was in 1962-1970 known as 2nd Military Region.

Origin/meaning
The Cross of the Order of Christ, symbolises the fact that this Order had its Headquarters in the City of Tomar. The Brodure is the sign of a Military Region. The Tower in the Crest is from the Coat of Arms of the City of Tomar.
