NO 157 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE
History: Formed at Upper Heyford in September 1918.
Official blazon
Badge: A lion rampant chequy sable and argent.
Motto: Our cannons speak our thoughts.
Origin/meaning
The Lion symbolises the fighting power of the Unit, the Black and White checks symbolises Night and Day operations. The badge was granted in August 1943.
