WUSTROW

State : Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
District (Kreis) : Vorpommern-Rügen (until 2011 Nordvorpommern)
Amt: Amt Darß/Fischland

Wappen von Wustrow/Arms (crest) of Wustrow
Official blazon
German In Blau eine silberne Brigg, begleitet oben rechts von einer strahlenden goldenen Sonne.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 20, 1997.

The arms were designed for the seal of the village in 1948, but the arms were never granted until 1997. The ship refers to the longtime maritime traditions in the village, as well as to the sailing school founded in 1846.
