Arms: Gules, issuant from water harry wavy proper a three-towered castle pierced at the base with two arches argent, all couped per chevron reversed in base; on a chief of the last a money balance between two pairs of compasses extended of the field.
Motto: In maxima parati minimave.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 25, 1951 to the Northern Counties' Building Society; transferred to the Northern Rock Building Society on November 15, 1965.
