German Im geteilten Schild oben in blau wachsend in silber der hl. Johannes, Evangelist, mit einem Buch und einem Kelch mit Schlange; unten in rot ein halbes silbernes Schildchen an der Teilungslinie, überlegt mit einer halben goldenen Lilienhaspel.

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the oldest seal of the village. The upper half shows the local patron saint, St. Jphn Baptst. The lower half shows the escarbluncle from the arms of the Counts of Kleve, as the village historically belonged to Kleve.
