LOIMAAN KUNTA
Former province : Länsi-Suomi (until 1997 Turku and Pori)
Additions: 1976 Metsämaa
Incorporated into : 2005 Loimaa
Official blazon
Sinisessä kentässä paaluittain vehnäntähkä, jossa kaksi lehteä, saatteena neljä apilaristiä asetettuina 2+2; kaikki kultaa.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 12, 1952.
The wheatear refers to the agricultural character and fertile soil in the municipality. The four crosses refer to the fact that the municipality developed in several directions from the original Loimaa parish.
Since 2005 the arms are used by the new Loimaa municipality.
