Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Austria - Österreichische Gemeindewappen |
EBENAU
State : Salzburg
District : Salzburg-Umgebung
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 26, 1962.
The arms show in the right half the white cross of St. Florian, the local patron saint. The left half shows the symbol used by the Steinhauser family, founder of the local bronze-factory and thus of the village of Ebenau.
