Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Austria - Österreichische Gemeindewappen |
LORÜNS
State : Vorarlberg
District : Bludenz
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 29, 1967.
The arms are identical to those of the 15th century family Von Arüns. At the same time the sun symbolises the Sonnenberg Estate, to which Lorüns historically belonged. The sun also symbolises the South, the stars the North and the wavy bend the Ill river.
