  • (personal half) Hinten in Gold ein roter Balken: gespalten, rechts zwei goldene, schräggekreuzte Schlüssel mit abgewendeten Bärten, links ein blauer Schräglinksbalken, belegt mit den goldenen Antiquabuchstaben SPQR; begleitet oben von einem schwarzen Adler und unten von einem schwarzen, auf grünem Hügel stehenden Hahn mit rotem Kamm und ebensolchen Kinnlappen.

Origin/meaning

The arms show the arms of the diocese impaled with the personal arms of the bishop.

The personal half consists of two parts; a canting rooster in base (from Lating 'gallus'=rooster) under the arms of the city of Weil der Stadt, the place of birth of the bishop.
