LIDINGÖ

Province (Landskap): Uppland
County (Län): Stockholms län

Coat of arms (crest) of Lidingö
Official blazon
Swedish

I blå sköld ett vikingaskepp av guld|-

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed in 1928 and registered in 1974.

Lidingö is situated near the sea-channel where the Vikings used to sail, and which still is the way into the harbour of Stockholm, hence the use of a Viking ship in the national colours.
