Escudo de azul, monte de três cômoros de ouro, movente de contra-chefe ondeado de azul e prata; em chefe, duas chaves, uma de ouro outra de prata, passadas em aspa, entre uma estrela de prata de cinco pontas à dextra e uma roda de azenha de ouro, à sinistra. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro : " MANTEIGAS – S. PEDRO ".
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 20, 1997.
The base shows the Estrela Mountain range near the parish and the Zêzere river. The two keys symbolise the local patron saint, St. Peter, the star also refers to the Estrela (estrela=star) mountains. The water wheel symbolises industry.
