Arms : Vert, three annulets interlaced in pale Or within an orle of eight bezants. |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 18, 1951.
The green background of the shield signifies the countryside in the midst of which the town is built. The three interlacing rings symbolise home, industry and leisure. The eight bezants refer to the members of the Corporation.
