English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 20, 1953.
The arms show a canting bridge (Brücke). The lion and black and gold colours indicate the Pfalz region, to which the municipality historically belonged. The main activity historically was coal mining (hammer), in the 20th century this was replaced by diamond cutting (diamond).
