Alpursa was a manufacturer of chocolate in Biessenhofen in Bayern. In the 1930s they started issuing stamps in series of 6, each with a differnet theme, and as a needlepoint pattern. In total 690 stamps have been issued which could be collected in albums. Only 2 series have used an heraldic theme as far as I know : series 13 and 14 with German State arms (no names mentioned).
